WATTGO is a private SME, set up in France in 2011, specialized in IT and algorithms developments related to energy data analysis. WATTGO is a team of 18 staff (mainly PhDs and IT engineers), has developed a real time, distributed platform (Cassandra, Spark, Kafka, with Machine Learning) to analyse electric load curves and deliver energy intelligence to utilities. WATTGO database includes over 20 Terabytes of electrical load curves, as well as usage related behavioural data (~200 questions) on more than 1,500 households. These households are members of WattGo’s own panel Powermetrix (www.powermetrix.fr).

These sensor-based data and questionnaire data give us great insights into behavioural dynamics regarding uses of energy. We deliver quantitative research about residential energy consumption to major stakeholders of the industry, and publish some key figures in the media.

Wattgo ceased working the consortium in late March 2018.
